This blog runs a few plugins that encourage people to add to the conversation of each blog post. It does this by passing a do follow link to the blog of the person making the comment.

This means, apart from readers being able to see the comment and possibly following through to the author’s blog, the author’s blog will receive page rank from this blog. This can help the author’s blog to rise in the search engines which could bring more exposure to the blog through natural search terms and keywords.
