Star Wars Clone Trooper Voice Changer Helmet

clone trooper helmetFor Kids and Adults that are fascinated by the Stars Wars movies, games, TV shows, books and cartoons, the chance to take part in the action has arrived with the Star Wars Clone Trooper Voice Changer Helmet. The clone trooper helmet depicts the head gear worn by one of the many clones of mercenary/bounty hunter Jango Fett. These clones were created to make a Republican army. The clone army essentially enforced the political will of the Republic, and later on, Emperor Palpatine.

Many planets wanted to secede from the republic, particularly those on the outer rim. And the star system was considered very unstable. This caused the outbreak of what became known as the clone wars. Many storm troopers were used in battles. These battles and the intrigue surrounding the clones wars are detailed in the major Star Wars movies and the TV series and movie length cartoons. For people that prefer to read, they are detailed in books and comics too.

clone trooper - Capt Rex Since everyone was so interested in the clone wars, a clone trooper helmet was created so that children (and adults) can pretend to be fighting against Count Dooku in famous battles like the Battle of Geonosis or the Battle of Utapau.

In fact there are a few different varieties of clone trooper helmet. The standard issue is the plain white helmet that features in most of the Star Wars movies, including the first movies which featured Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and the original characters (although it is slightly different in styling to the original stormtrooper helemts, no doubt to depict that it was set in a different time).

The voice changing helmet has realistic details, such as the tinted visor, a crested top, and clone-inspired colors. It is made of a durable plastic that withstands most  bumps but may scratch if treated roughly. There are three buttons on the right side of the helmet. These set off 5 different phrases taken from the Clone Wars TV show. A button that issues radio static keeps communication interesting, and commands like “Cover Me!” and “All units fire at will!” add a quick adrenaline rush to any battle. Added to these is a voice-modulator microphone so that the wearer can issue his/her own statements and commands in the clone voice.

clone trooper 501 STIt recommended for Children 4-8 years old but of course many older kids and even adults will be taken by the helmet. It requires 3 AA batteries to power the voice modulator and microphone. These batteries are included with the purchase. It is actually quite a large helmet that will fit most heads. There are adjustable straps too. It’s dimensions are 10 x 10.8 x 12 inches and it weighs 3.3 pounds. The toy is made by Hasbro.

One of the criticisms of the helmet is that it is too big for small children. Other than that, it is good fun and children will generally get a kick out of playing at being a clone trooper and issuing this or that command to their friends.

The variations on the this original helmet pertain to characters or incidents in the Clone Wars TV shows. So you have Captain Rex Helmet. There is also the 501st Legion Clone Trooper. These helmets are slightly different from the original helmet in the styling. For instance the Captain Rex helmet has a red trim. The 501st has blue trim. These helmets make an ideal gift of present at Christmas for anyone interested in the Star Wars mythology. You can also get gift sets that include the helmet and a blaster so that the wearer has everything they need to start battling in their very own scenes from the Clone wars.
